Publishing high-quality research on a robot's body, environment and applications, and the artificial intelligence that fuels many of these advances.
npj Robotics aims to publish research that adopts a holistic stance, taking the physical nature of robots and their relation and interaction with the world as a departure point. By stimulating multidisciplinary research and bringing together fields such as robotics, AI, biology, mechanical engineering and materials science, we hope to develop robots that are more efficient, effective, safer, and more robust when operating in the real world, and accelerate the required hardware and software developments.
In addition to publishing primary research articles, npj Robotics also accepts review and open science articles, focusing on open-source code, open hardware and/or open data.
